It was with great sadness to announce that my husband John lost his battle with cancer just before Christmas last year.
He gave it such a fight but in the end he couldn't win.
It is of course a huge loss to me and to Clanmill Stud. When I met John he was not a horseman, but he soon learned! and became as excited by the arrival of our foals, and the Clanmill achievements as I did!
His agricultural background was invaluable and he was always to be seen out on the farm mending fences, chain harrowing, topping the fields, sorting out the barns or making hay.
He loved this side of the job and was never happier than when out in the fields on his tractor. 
He is hugely missed
