For Sale
Due to the sad loss of my husband just before Christmas I am having to seriously reduce my numbers
Hence the following ponies are offered for sale.
We have 4 x 2yo Fillies & 3 x yearlings - 2 Fillies and 1 Colt
3 x Broodmares
This not an easy decision and the ponies will only go to the very best of homes.
They are sensibly priced to reflect their quality
In my opinion they are all excellent examples of their breed and in the right hands have bright futures ahead of them.
My aim with breeding my Welsh Ponies is to produce stock that will go well under saddle, perform and do a job. That are good examples of their breed, move well and above all have fabulous temperaments.
Most go on to make super children's and adults ponies.
I also aim to breed ponies as near up to height as possible.
From our results I think we are doing this.

There is no doubt that in the right hands 'Swallow' is sure to make an absolutely top ridden pony in the future. He is a very hard type to find and is going to make full up to height 13.2hh - he is already a big boy!
He has a wonderful kind temperament and moves like a dream.
He is very correct and has fantastic limbs with loads of bone.
He is well handled and very mannerly, he truly is a real gentleman.
A real eye catcher that has everything going for him :-

He would also make a very valuable stud stallion alongside his ridden career.

Dottie is an outstanding ridden prospect for the future
She will be right up to height 13.2hh, is an exceptional mover, has excellent limb and is beautifully put together. She has not been pushed and is growing into herself slowly. We really rate this filly and feel in the right hands she has the ability and quality to go to the very top under saddle. She is a beautiful colour and really catches the eye. As time goes on she will get better and better.
We were going to retain this filly but sadly due to our necessary stud reduction we are now not keeping any young stock

Nowra is just simply beautiful! I loved her from the minute she was born. She has bags of quality and is real eye catcher.
She will mature to 13hh and make a fabulous child's pony M&M and SHP
She has a sweet nature and will show well in hand
She was produced for a few months last year and her only two outings she won both her classes, was youngstock champion and overall Section B reserve champion. She behaved and went impeccably.
With her colour, looks and breeding she will also make a valuable broodmare one day.

Foxglove was sold a few minutes after she was born, but sadly her new owners had to back out just before Christmas for personal reasons, so we kept her.
This is a fabulous filly very unusually marked for a Section B and we are pretty sure she is smokey black having a palomino dam and black sire. She is a chunky filly with bags of bone and will make about 12,2hh

Outstanding black filly to make approx 13.1hh.
Fabulous bone and limb and a very good mover.
I kept this filly to run on as a future broodmare as she is a type so hard to find and fits in with my breeding program so well - however due to having to seriously reduce numbers she is offered to the very best of homes.
I really rate this filly and in the right hands she has a very bright future as a striking ridden pony and/or with her breeding a future broodmare.
She would show well in hand too.
Her dam is one of my best mares and is a very true to type Section B.

It is with great sadness that I am offering this superb yearling colt to the very best of homes.
After much soul searching and with the future of Clanmill Stud now in question after the loss of my husband in December, I feel I can no longer justify having this beautiful colt standing in the field when he probably doesn't have a future with us. Therefore now is the time to sell him. I already have his half brother Richvale Orion and on my own feel I can only deal with one entire on the yard.
He is a big boy and is very likely to go well over height 14hh + like his full brother R. Black Jack.
With his superb breeding he will make a very valuable stallion to breed up to height Section B's with smaller mares, and also a wonderful cross for Part Breds. 2 testicles present. He will also make a fabulous ridden pony in the future and before that would show well in hand.
He has been DNA tested positive for Smokey black. Therefore carrying the cream gene means he will produce a multitude of colours including Palomino's, Blacks, Smokey Blacks, Buckskins, Bays, Cremello's and Perlino's - depending on the colour and genetics of the mare.
JB is an outstanding mover, is straight and correct, has a fabulous temperament and has everything going or him. He is now ready to go on and make a name for himself.
